Running into an idiotic issue that's driving me up the wall. I've got an ubuntu 18.10 VM in VMWare, just running squid proxy, and doing very little else. Periodically, something goes haywire on it and it stops responding via networking for like, a minute. I can't ping it, I can't ssh to it, and proxy functionality halts.
I can confirm that the NIC still shows connected in VMWare, and I can log in via console, so the OS isn't locked up. Absolutely nothing happening in whatever logs I can find, only thing I could think of was to force NTP to use our on-site NTP instead of whatever is built into systemd/this version of Ubuntu, in the event it was getting out of sync and breaking SSL, but no joy.
Thoughts?
