Pues hay que recordar que hablamos de una Tablet Ficticia vs una real que ya lleva mas de 7 meses en el mercado y probablemente cuando salga esta Nexus 10, este el iPad 4 en el mercado, asi que seria de comparar.

Google's tablet partnership with Samsung could yield some cutting-edge component tech, not the least of which is the pixel-packing display.

The 10.1-inch tablet -- expected in the first half of next year -- should boast a pixel density that is higher than any tablet on the market now. That includes the 8.9-inch display on the Kindle Fire HD and the 9.7-incher on Apple's third-generation iPad.

But it won't be a cakewalk for Samsung to get there: squeezing a 2,560x1,600 pixel density screen into a 10.1-inch tablet will push the display-manufacturing tech envelope -- not unlike the manufacturing feats Apple demands from its production partners.

As a yardstick, consider the upcoming 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro. That is expected to put 2,560x1,600 pixels (the same pixel count as the 10-inch Google tablet) into a 13.3-inch display. That yields a PPI (pixel per inch) of about 227. But by stuffing that density into a 10-inch screen, the PPI jumps to just shy of 300.

That begins to approach the 326 PPI on Apple's iPhone, which, of course, uses a much smaller 4-inch screen.

All of this becomes possible for Google because of its partner, Samsung. Ironically, the South Korean company supplies -- or has supplied -- Apple with the most cutting-edge of cutting-edge liquid crystal displays (LCDs), including those on the Retina iPad and Retina 15.4-inch MacBook Pro.

And of course Samsung makes the AMOLED screens -- a different kind of display tech -- used on its own Galaxy phones.

In fact, Samsung is the only company that successfully manufactures both high-volume advanced AMOLED and LCD screens. But the high-density PPI action is currently centered on LCDs -- not AMOLED. Sharp, for example, announced the start of production of a 5-inch 443 PPI display last week.

But if Sharp is able to make those kinds of LCDs, you can bet Samsung probably can too -- and will.

Unless we're looking at one of the most elaborately photographed fakes in the world, this is the Nexus 10. With the Nexus 7 apparently going over quite well at just $199, it was only ever a matter of time before the Nexus family expanded to house a 10-incher. With Google's own Vic Gundotra posting images from a unit that he's using at some exotic locale, it seems that another unit has slipped beneath the camera at BriefMobile. The site has managed to apprehend one of the 10.1-inch slates, and in turn has discovered quite the bounty of information.

Internally, there's (reportedly) a dual-core 1.7GHz Samsung Exynos 5250, a Mali-T604 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (though no microSD expansion slot), a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, NFC / WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a Super AMOLED panel with a drool-worthy 2,560 x 1,600 screen resolution -- yeah, that's well into "Retina" territory at 298.9 pixels per inch. You may recognize that Exynos 5250 from Google's recently released $249 Chromebook, but here, it's being used to push Android 4.2. BriefMobile is proud to release the first pictures of Google’s Nexus 10 tablet by Samsung. The device, manufactured by the popular Korean OEM, features the latest version of Google’s Android operating system— Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Yes, it’s still called “Jelly Bean.” There’s no “Key Lime Pie” yet.

We expect Google to announce this tablet on Monday, October 29th, in New York City. At that time, the Android tablet market will have a new virtual king of the hill. With an ultra high resolution screen, screaming fast processor, and the latest Google operating system, I’m comfortable calling the Nexus 10 the best-specced Android tablet in the world. We’ll dive in to the hardware and software of this fantastic new device below.

Inside, the Nexus 10 features a Samsung-built Exynos 5250 processor with a Cortex-A15 architecture and Mali-T604 GPU. That’s the same processor used in Google’s latest Chromebook. It’s a 1.7 GHz clocked dual-core powerhouse that benchmarks better than the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro and Apple A6 SoCs. Like the new Android elite, the Nexus 10 houses a full 2GB of RAM, which gives it that speedy edge in multi-tasking.

We’re not sure if there will be multiple storage sizes/options available at launch. The unit used by our trusted source had 16GB of internal memory. There is no microSD card slot. Google is relying heavily on their new Drive and Play Store infrastructures for cloud storage, whether Android fans like it or not. We were thinking Drive might come pre-installed on this device, but that’s not the case (at the moment).

The display is an incredible feat for Samsung. At 2560 x 1600 pixels, it far surpasses the Apple iPad’s “Retina Display” in resolution. We’re told the display measures 10.1-inches. That means we’re looking at approximately 298.9 pixels-per-inch, dwarfing Apple’s 263.92 on the third-generation iPad.

Google’s Nexus 10 will launch with a 5-megapixel rear camera, NFC connectivity, WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0.

Update: The device’s back feels like brushed aluminum, says our source. There are rubber coated edges, and it’s extremely light and thin.

Solo que con ser nexus en lo personal le da bastante plus, android stock, seguridad de actualizaciones oficiales, etc...

Cuando uno cree tener la más cachimbona, al día siguiente aparece otra doblemente cachimbona.
Como saben que uno es consumista, te crean la "necesidad" de querer siempre la más potente... aunque quizás no la necesités.

Ayer mismo lo apostábamos en nuestro podcast engadgetero: a pesar de que Google había tenido que cancelar su rueda de prensa, era más que probable que sus productos vieran hoy la luz, algo que finalmente acaba de suceder. La gran compañía de Mountain View acaba de hacer pública la existencia -entre otros dispositivos- de su filtrada tablet Nexus 10, un equipo de 10,1 pulgadas que, efectivamente, disfruta de un panel con una resolución de 2,560 x 1,600 y una densidad de pantalla de 300 píxeles por pulgada (protegido por una Gorilla Glass 2), al mismo tiempo que lleva al, recién anunciado también, Android 4.2 corriendo en su interior.

Basado al parecer en el Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, esta tablet cuenta con un procesador dual core Samsung Exynos 5250 (sí, el mismo que lleva el nuevo Chromebook) a 1,7 Ghz, 2 GB de RAM, GPU Mali T604, un par de cámaras (siendo la trasera de 5 megapíxeles), NFC, WiFi y Bluetooth 4.0. Integra un par de altavoces, a ambos laterales en su zona frontal, y dispone de una batería (9.000 mAh) capaz de aguantar unas 9 horas de reproducción continua de video y hasta 500 horas en standby. ¿Te interesa su silueta? Entonces debes saber que mide 263,9 x 177,6 mm, su grosor es de 8,9 mm y su peso de 603 gramos.

Tal y como puedes observar en las (pequeñas) imágenes cedidas por Google que tienes en la galería, la tablet parece ser bastante parecida a las imágenes que se filtraron hace unos días, con esa característica franja superior trasera que arropa a la cámara y el flash del dispositivo.

Según apunta Google, la nueva Nexus 10 llegará a Australia, Alemania, Canadá, España, Estados Unidos, Francia, Japón y Reino Unido el próximo 13 de noviembre con un precio de 399 euros/dólares en su versión de 16 GB de almacenamiento y de 499 euros/dólares para la de 32 GB.
