problema con resolucion en ubuntu 9.10

wenas---- communiters pues tengo un problema... me decidi a instalar ubuntu pero tengo un problema con mi monitor que tiene una resolucion de 1920*1080, en sistema-preferencia-pantalla le puse la resolucion de 1920*1080 pero se ve distorcionado aca una imagen



trato de configurar el hardware pero no encuentro la forma

me voy a sistema-administracion-controlador de hardware pero no me sale nada

tengo vide integrado SiS 32MB

fijate que algo similar me paso en mandriva, recuerdo que lo solucione seleccionando la tarjeta de video en configuracion de hardware, en cambio aca en ubuntu no veo nada similar a eso

Juept man, disculpa el spam pero que monitor mas cholo ese jajaja  mirá y seguro que esta sis de 32MB soca esa resolución??

Porque por lo menos en algunas pcs viejas en las que he trabajado les he conectado monitores de 20 y cul3r3aban con resoluciones altas...

si la levanta en windows anda perfecto y en mandriva logre configurarlo y me anduvo perfecto

66355 bits /8 = 8294400 bytes
8294400 bytes /1024 = 8100 kilobytes
8100 kilobytes /1024 = 7.9 megabytes de memoria de video necesitados para una resolucion de 1920x1080x32


regresando al tema... probá borrando la linea q dice virtual en el xorg.conf y pones

Hey el grub no tiene nada que ver con la resolución de la pagina, asi que tenes que hacer esto:

1. que tipo de tarjeta grafica tenes

2. revisa si tiene soporte para Linux

la tarjeta de video es sis 662 integrada de 32MB, no se si tenga soporte pero en mandriva logre acomodar la resolucion pero en la herramienta de conf de hardware en el caso de ubuntu no veo esa aplicacion en la cual podia seleccionar y ver detalles del hardware.

porque podes terminar recomendando cosas absurdas como instalarle un driver nvidia a una integrada SiS...
